This post simply lists all of my favourite softwares and services.

Softwares

• Editor

  Sublime Text 2 - love it just after 5 min of usage. Now I use it for Latex and C++.

  Aquamacs - was used for Latex

• C/C++

  Sublime + g++ for MAC. A simple setup guide is here

  Visual Studio for WINDOWS

• LaTeX

  Latextools - together with Sublime for editing Latex

  Mactex - use basic version for MAC

  Texmaker - was a main Latex editor in WINDOWS

  IguanaTex - add-in for Powerpoint

  LaTeXiT - for Latex in Powerpoint

• Simulation/computation

  Matlab

  Maple - great for symbolic computation. I always use this first for equation derivation.
